Last Name, First Name, Birth Date, Death OR Burial Date, Row, Block, Lot,
Grave Space and Individual Comments. Those noted with a "V" are Veterans.
Under Iowa code 523I.311, interment dates (burial dates) made on or after July 1, 2005, are recorded in our database.
Abbreviations used for comments:
h/o (husband of) w/o (wife of) m/o (mother of) d/o (daughter of), etc.
Organizations appear in brackets [ ]. Uncertain Information in double parenthesis (( )).
Deed (Certificate of Burial Rights) record(s) for each burial lot are also included, stating which book, date and the deed page.
Information has been gathered by volunteers from cemetery records, obituary listings in the Nashua Reporter and Nashua Post, mortuary records from funeral homes (Lundt and Chenoweth & Son Funeral Homes in Nashua), WPA records, in addition to a 2003 canvassing of cemetery tomb stones.
Additional date information was added to this burial directory, where perhaps there was only a year provided on a stone.
This added detail will make it easier for the researcher to locate an obituary in the microfilmed or online newspapers.
